Let’s judge Obama’s foreign policy. While he has had some notable successes like the Iran deal, the rest seems riddled with hypocrisy. He campaigned in 2008 on ending the Iraq War, and recommitted that no troops would be sent back to Iraq in 2014. Now we have sent several thousand personnel to the middle east country. Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, delivers his Final Judgment on President Obama’s foreign policy hypocrisy.
Do you agree with Obama’s decisions? Should we be scaling back or deploying more troops to fight ISIS? Let us know in the comments below.

This is why you never say never. When the president said that “there will never be boots on the ground…” – I knew that he probably would not be able to keep that promise. I hate this war (and all of the others) but situations on the ground sometimes force a change of plan. Jenk, I usually agree with you. But one the criticisms of GOPers is that they never change their minds, no matter what the facts are. Progressives can’t intellectually fall into the same trap simply because something happens that we don’t like. Like you, I want these things to end, but the Middle East is a mess. There are many moving parts, and no one can expect any president to truly know what they would do. However, I do trust this president’s judgement more than I trust the last one – and more than I do any of the Republicans.
