I love that people keep calling yesterdays attack a Islamic terror attack even when they don’t have all the facts. “May have been radicalized”. Now I bring this up because everyone is quick to “assume” this was about islamic terror. Okay so why is it then no one was quick to “assume” or even say that the white christian male who shot up planned parenthood in Colorado Springs is a terrorist who’s religious views drove him to do this. I’m just saying lets be sure of what we are putting out or we’ll end up creating more violence. For all we know he was getting grief at work for being islamic and snapped. They already said he was at the party, got into a confrontation with someone and left and came back. Have we lost all common sense in how we report the news and how we react to it. Every news agency is guilty of it and we are all following what they say without using our own intellect and common sense to see they are dividing us. We see an illegal Mexican immigrant kill someone and it’s “lets deport them all”. Why do we not see the crimes of Illegal Irish immigrants for instance. They happen. Are we going to deport them all? No. We have vilified anyone who does not have white skin to be thugs, terrorist, and enemies of the state. We see it everyday in how some law enforcement is treating people of color. And don’t say it I can hear your voices now.”But it isn’t happening”. No it’s not happening to you but it is to us. If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around does it make a sound? Same principal. We are in the forest and you’re not. We are there having it done to us. Even here where I live, walking with a limp, smile on my face, singing a song as I listen to music on my phone as I walk down the street, some white people will cross the street as they see me approach them. Listen not all white people are bad. I’ve said that time and time again. Now it is your turn to embrace the fact that not all people of color are bad. Change has to start with us, in us, for us, and around us. But nothing will change if we keep embracing the same fundamental policies that we have now, which is not to talk about the real issues. Gun safety, mental health accessibility and tolerance both ethnic and religious. FYI-FYS
