Ahmed Mohamed was on Chris Hayes’ show on MSNBC and was surprised with a representative from MIT. She encouraged Ahmed to pursue a career in physics and invited him to Cambridge to see the campus. Cenk Uygur and Ana Kasparian (The Point) hosts of The Young Turks discuss.

“MSNBC host Chris Hayes had a pleasant surprise for Ahmed Mohamed, the 14-year-old Muslim teenager who was arrested at his high school in Irving, Texas after officials determined his homemade clock could be a “hoax bomb.”
Hayes brought in astrophysicist Chanda Prescod-Weinstein, who works for the Kavli Institute for Astrophysics and Space Research and the Department of Physics and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which Mohamed has described as his “dream school.”

You call your selves Journalist on this story about this poor moslem kid that got treated so unfairly by them racist White Conservatives for just “inventing” this nice clock for a school science project, then having his Science teacher of all people having him arrested for a bomb (surely he should know the difference between a bomb and a nicely invented school science project “clock”)! Well “Smart Guy & Genius Girl” First Mohammad didn’t invent or even build a thing (eve he said he threw it together right before bed time), he gutted a 1970’s radio and put it into a pencil case (now if that’s your and the MIT teacher’s idea of an invention nowadays Then I’m keeping my kids away from Harvard & MIT! Second it wasn’t a science project or even a school project at all (that’s one of the things the police were trying to get an answer about “why brought to school at all?”)! Finally it was his English teacher who took him and the project to the principle’s office who then called the police because of not knowing the what & why about the thing (the police chief even said he understands why they would see it as suspicious , also Smart Guy that’s why you see pics of a suitcase bomb shown with it to show how close they look to each other! Also I sure you two are such well informed people that you don’t consider CAIR ties to Terrorism!!
