Crop tops are everywhere in NYC this summer – including on Taylor Swift and Gigi Hadid – but can regular people who don’t live in the fashion capital pull off this midriff-baring look?
TYT’s resident science nerd Jayde Lovell sits down with NYC style commentator Bec Susan Gill to discuss the trend, and discuss the top 3 ways you can wear the style:
1. The ‘high maintenance look’ – think tight skirt, high heels, lots of urbane accessories and va-va-voom hair
2. The Casual Look – This style is not skin-tight – this looser look is more relaxed and street savvy, and has the added benefit of avoiding potential skin squish factor!
3. The Glam Look – This involves not actually wearing a crop top, but giving a nod to the trend by exposing your midriff with a keyhole design or angular cut.
