A secret service agent is in hot water for sending lewd texts and photos while not on the job, which is apparently still a crime. The agency confirmed that an unnamed agent following that he sent texts to prominent Washington D.C. staffer he met during a May 20 event co-hosted by Obama and Elizabeth Dole for veteran caregivers.

“A Secret Service agent is on administrative leave after allegedly sending a woman lewd text messages after an event with first lady Michelle Obama.

The agency confirmed on Wednesday that an investigation is ongoing over the inappropriate communications, according to the network.

It reported that the texts were sent to a “prominent Washington, D.C. staffer” after a May 20 event co-hosted by Obama and former Sen. Elizabeth Dole (R-N.C.).

“The U.S. Secret Service is aware of these allegations,” the agency said in a written statement to Fox News on Wednesday. “At this time, the individual has been placed on administrative leave pending further investigation.”

  1. Have there been any notes (confirmation or denial) that speak to whether or not the person receiving these messages was a consensual participant? I might not press charges if someone sends me a few messages and one lewd picture (and then stopped), but if i could put something in my boss’ ear and my complaint led to a bigger story/someone getting fired…
