Another grim chapter in the ever expanding non-fiction novel of the epidemic of unnecessary lethal force and brutality against minorities. This time the location was Detroit where a man, Floyd Dent, was beaten, tased, and assaulted by Police officials during a routine traffic stop. Dent, with no prior criminal record, believes he was singled out due to being black. After the attack Dent was hospitalized for two days due to injuries to his head and face. He has been charged with possession of cocaine, which Dent says was planted at the time of his arrest. He faces a hearing on April 1st.”
