The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives released a statement recently that they are not moving forward with a proposed ban on armor piercing rounds for the AR-15. The ATF has received over eighty thousand comments and letters asking for the removal of a ban that had not even gone into effect yet but was still on the table for debate.
The National Rifle Association was the leader in this effort to keep the ammo on the market. The NRA officials took to twitter in celebration, championing law makers for listening when the people spoke.”
