Hybrid human-animal embryos are being attacked by Georgia State Representative Tom Kirby who introduced a bill, which would prohibit the creation of an in vitro human embryo by any means other than fertilization of a human egg by a human sperm saying, “We need to get out in front of the science and technology, before it becomes something no one wants.” The lawmaker spoke specifically about the potential mix of human and jellyfish embryos saying that it could lead to a “glow in the dark human.” We take a look at Kirby’s comments, in this Lip News clip with Mark Sovel and Elliot Hill.
