Swedish prime minister Stefan Lofven announced that he will call the country’s first snap election in over half a century after the Swedish government, which is only two months old, failed to have its budget passed in parliament. A fringe anti-immigration party was responsible for detailing their efforts to gather support for the new center-left leader’s first budget proposal.
