Neo-Nazi March Gets Punk’D By German Town

To protest the neo-Nazi march that invades their town annually, a German town called Wunsiedel in Bavaria organized what they called a Rights versus Rights group charity walkathon. Citizens in Wunsiedel turned the march into a makeshift walkathon that raised donations for EXIT Deutschland, which helps those looking to drop out of extreme right-wing groups like the neo-nazis. Wunsiedel residents successfully redirected the neo-nazi publicity that their city has received from fascists that have focused on their town, as it was the former burial site of Adolf Hitler’s deputy, Rudolf Hess. We look at video of the march in this Lip News clip with Jackie Koppell and Mark Sovel.
