The Keystone XL pipeline, which would run from Canada to Texas, was shot down by the Senate on Tuesday though there is still strong support for the pipeline in Congress. Supporters believe that the construction of the pipeline would be instrumental in creating tens of thousands of jobs and improving the economy. On the other hand, opponents of building the pipeline to transport oil say that it will be devastating for the environment. Where does the decision stand now?
