Animals are now considered victims and will be afforded some of the same protections as humans following an Oregon Supreme Court ruling, which said that no warrant is required to enter a home if an animal inside the home is in imminent danger. The ruling will allow police to rush to the aid of animals who are in danger instead of having to wait.
