Legalizing marijuana has been connected with lower prescription drug overdoses. Researchers at the Bloomberg School and the Philadelphia Veterans Affairs Medical Center found that states with legalized marijuana have 25 percent fewer prescription drug deaths that states without legalized marijuana.
