Is Mountain on Steam Actually a Game, or a Screensaver?

‘Mountain’ on Steam – critics love its ingenuity, while gamers seem to despise it. It’s a 99 cent game in the Steam store, but some are hesitant to even call it a game. In it, you assume the role of a mountain, slowly spinning while the environment changes and you (as the mountain) express feelings of ennui and question your own existence. With modern gaming in mind, has the definition of what a game is changed, and is the change necessary toward creating a bigger, more diverse medium? Or is it the opposite of the definition of a game? Kim Horcher, Tim Frisch, and Jenna Busch (Writer, host, Legion of Leia founder) discuss!
