You truly disappointed me today. It’s interesting how you can get so infuriated and emotional about so many issues (ie fighting for justice, stopping abuse from positions of power), yet you make no big deal about Shep Smith’s deeply offensive remarks about Robin Williams’s tragic death. If you really knew what unspeakable damage depression and other mental illnesses cause and the shitloads of courage it takes to fight it, you wouldn’t have brushed aside this imbecile’s remarks.
Cowardice? Really, is that what you tell a cancer patient who just couldn’t pull through? Didn’t try hard enought? Didnt’ pull the 101st bootstrap? I would love to meet “Shep” and beat the living shit out of him
Do you really think it was a hearfelt apology? C’mon, we know that, more often than not, people immediately apologize not because they’re truly sorry, but because they’ve been caught. He spoke from his gut. What that sub-human piece of shit said speaks volumes and only perpetuates the stigma of these illnesses. And you pat him on the back, saying he was “classy”.
You two get all worked up about what, in my humble opinion, are less relevant things, and then you have an opportunity to blast the fuck out of this asswipe, and you don’t? Maybe, just a mistake on your part, or kinda, in a funny/semi-consicous way, actually agree with what SS said??
