Stop slut-shaming? There’s nothing that can be “done” to “stop” slut-shaming…
It’s not like a clogged toilet with an easy DIY fix.
I believe that the most and least we can do is stop making it sound cool. Teenagers mimick whatever crap they see on TV. If the movie industry and broadcast networks stop making TV shows and chick-flicks showing girls slut-shaming, people might eventually stop…
It’s really complex… Education-Education-Education.
So the root of this behavior lies in reproductive success. I.e. the reptilian brain, or less. Nothing coming from the neo-cortex, the part of the brain that makes us human-except the (lame) variations made upon the theme. This is to say it is an unconscious behavior, and those who act it out are not doing so as a conscious human adult would, with thought towards the whole. They are, actually, acting to decrease the adaptability of our species, thus decreasing our chances of survival, and should be removed from the reproductive pool, for the benefit of all.
