The Ad That Proves Walmart & Fox News Don’t Get It

“On Monday morning, the hosts of Fox & Friends noted that many Democrats are celebrating a Congressional Budget Office report — which warned that the equivalent of 2.5 million full-time workers will leave the labor force by 2024 as a result of the Affordable Care Act — by saying that the ACA will allow more workers freedom and flexibility. The Fox hosts then wondered whether a viral ad from Walmart celebrating labor may be enjoying a rise in popularity partly in response to what they believe is the Democratic celebration of not working.”*

Is wanting a fair wage the same as hating to work? And is wanting a better job the same as wanting to be a jobless “poet” who doesn’t want to pay for health benefits? Fox News shows a very poor ability to understand a simple Walmart commercial, which fails to understand American workers. Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

  1. Actually, it sounds to me like they are saying there will be 2.5 million jobs available to those people who can’t find work right now. Hmmmmmmmm
