Is It OK to Out an Anti-Gay GOP Congressman?

In YouTube Posts by Hlarson0 Comments

Gay rumors have swirled around Illinois Republican House Representative Aaron Schock for a number of years, but recently a furor arose when a journalist all but “outed” Schock based on circumstantial evidence and hearsay. Does Schock’s record of voting consistently against gay rights make him an open target for outing? What are the rules when it comes to discussing the sexuality of politicians and celebrities? As the gay community has made strides in gaining public acceptance, has outing become more – or less – legitimate as a means of furthering the LGBT cause?

Our panel answers these questions and more in this segment of “The Point with Ana Kasparian.”
