Cenk hosting today.  After James Clapper was obviously lying about the NSA’s collection of Americans’ phone records, he clarified his bumbling comments by saying he was the least untruthful as he could be.  Rep Peter King defended Clapper due to the sensitive nature of the information he was unable to talk about.  The NSA Director testified about how the program thwarted many terrorist plots.  In reality, the plots that were disrupted were not via the phone taps the way it was described.  The NSA Director also told Sen Collins that he’s never heard of the program being able to tap into anyone’s phone calls.  Peter King continued his defense of the NSA by going after reporters and specifically Glenn Greenwald for even reporting leaked information.
