‘Do we want to live in a country where people have to almost die before they go to the hospital?’
Cenk talks to Jayar Jackson and Mediaite’s Tommy Christopher about a new ad from Priorities USA, the super PAC opposing Mitt Romney, which connects Romney to the death of a woman whose husband was laid off after Bain Capital shut down a plant. “Do we want to live in a country where people have to almost die before they go to the hospital?” Christopher asks. Cenk says. “[If] you don’t give a damn that people lose their pensions or lose their jobs or lose their health care, then you should get an ad like this. This is your reckoning.”

Boy Scouts ‘perversion files’ kept secret until lawsuits forced reveal of repeated abuse
Ana Kasparian tells Cenk about a “Los Angeles Times” analysis of secret “perversion file” kept by the Boy Scouts of America, intended to track pedophile volunteers or staff — and also, it seems, keep the abuse quiet. Cenk says, “It’s the same thing as the Catholic Church: They don’t fix anything until they get sued.” Kasparian adds, “Judging other people’s lifestyles that are natural, that are normal — and in the meantime within your organization, you are covering up for these hideous people… It’s horrible.”

Politicians don’t represent NRA members or U.S. citizens, ‘they represent the gun manufacturers’
Cenk tears into media personalities like Pat Robertson for trying to blame mass shootings and the proliferation of gun sales in the US on atheism, moral corruption, or anything other that the real cause. “I’ll tell you who’s responsible,” Cenk says, “the guys who make billions selling those guns.”
