Cameroonian football player Albert Ebossé died on Saturday after he was hit by a projectile thrown from the stands following his team’s loss in the Algerian football championship.

Wes Welker suffered another concussion during the Broncos preseason game against the Texans. The hit, which was not especially vicious, did put Welker in a familiar place.

The NFL set the record for most passing yards in one season last year and that trend mostly rooted in the wide receivers hauling in yards, more so than the tight ends and running backs like that of Jimmy Graham and Jamaal Charles.

Running Backs have become the staple of a strong fantasy football team and one is not enough to round out a championship caliber squad. Leagues that have a WR/RB flex position means you are most likely going to need 3 strong tailbacks to propel your team to the top of the standings.

Things have went from bad to worse for Louis Van Gaal’s Manchester United as they suffer a 4-0 loss at home against League 1 side MK Dons. In a huge upset, United are left embarrassed and facing a trophy less season again as they crash out of the Capitol One Cup.

There is not much debate: Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees are the top tier quarterbacks in this years fantasy football QB crop. Outside of the top tier, the qb rankings become very interesting as 4-12 ranked QB’s are not nearly as safe as one of the top tier, especially in the running back heavy fantasy focus.

It should not be so surprising that a team who has not had a winning season in over a decade came out with 23 percent of the vote.
