St. Louis Rams “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” Controversy

In The Lip TV on YouTube by Hlarson0 Comments

The St. Louis Rams “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” Ferguson protest before last Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders came in response to a St. Louis County grand jury’s decision not to indict police officer Darren Wilson in the August killing of teenager Michael Brown. The Rams gesture created a lot of controversy with criticism coming from both the St. Louis police department and the media. Was the statement made by the players appropriate, or was Sunday Night Football not the right place to stage a protest? We discuss the issue with Loni Coombs and Mike Cavalluzzi, in this Crime Time short from the full length interview with Allison Hope Weiner.
