“With less than a week before Kentuckians can start signing up for Obamacare again, there’s little of the public hoopla that surrounded last year’s historic launch in a state widely seen as a national model for its smooth rollout.
But after Tuesday’s Republican sweep of Congress, there is new uncertainty about the Affordable Care Act’s future — with Sen. Mitch McConnell, poised to become majority leader, saying that he wants to target elements of it.
Kentucky Gov. Steve Beshear, however, said he’s confident the law will ultimately remain mostly intact, partly because it would be “very difficult — not to mention unpopular — for Congress to try to snatch health care away from millions of Americans who finally have it, many for the first time.”
In the meantime, key changes are coming during this year’s open enrollment, including a bigger penalty for not having insurance, a shorter enrollment period, new insurers and potential changes to premiums and subsidies, including for those who enrolled last year.”* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

I’m not a paying member yet, so I have know way to talk about other topics except in these comment sections. I’m not a paying member because I’m unemployed, so Cenk, offer me a job, you won’t be sorry.
Here is a story you should be talking about.

Interesting part of the article, and should be discussed.
“California has a 51 percent requirement. That is, you have to demonstrate that an employee is doing these [managerial] duties at least 51 percent of the time,” the chamber’s Friedman said. “Tracking an employee’s movements to demonstrate that would be a nightmare.”
Critics of the current rules don’t buy it. “The point is, if you are shifting someone back and forth from administrative tasks to manual labor, they aren’t a manager,” said Parkhurst. “And slapping a title on them doesn’t change that.”
I personally know from experience that companies slap a title on you, give you a SALARY, and work you to death. And then you break down your hourly rate and find you might make just above minimum wage.
The thing that is most wrong with this law boils down to the fact that it is fascism. The federal government is forcing two private parties into a contract. That is fascism. (A complete government run system would be communism.) The government has no business forcing me to buy anything that I don’t want for any reason.
I grew up without healthcare because my dad refused to purchase it. He thought it was gambling against himself and anytime anything happened, he just paid out of pocket for it.
