Drama over the Democratic Platform among the delegates. When they rethought their positions after being criticized by Conservatives, they reinserted God into the platform and called Jerusalem the capital of the Middle East. When these changes were voted on, Antonio Villaraigosa ignored the fact that the majority of delegates voted ‘no’ and changed the language, anyway. Segment 3
Wall St. campaign donations have broken the previous record for donations and its only September. Someone has stolen Romney’s tax returns and is trying to blackmail him for millions so that he won’t release them to the public. Vladimir Putin has been trying to build an image of himself that is superior to other humans. Now, Putin is going to put on a fake beak and a flying contraption, in order to lead Siberian cranes to their destination. Communication between White House and Congressional Republicans is horrible. Other details reveal some of the shortcomings of the Obama Administration. No one ever knows Obama’s core principles or bottom line, so Boehner went with nonstop pushing. Obama is willing to sacrifice important aspects in order to do a deal and be liked. Cenk predicts he will do the grand bargain and screw us over. The Justice Dept has decided to not go after anyone for their torture policy. Cenk gives details of the torture they were committing.
