You can care about your kid and love them and still be a shitty parent. I’m sure those people who confronted their son with an intervention for his homosexuality would claim to care for him but they are still shitty parents. This woman has good intentions but humiliating your kids isn’t helping. You are just teaching your kid you have no respect for them. Emotional abuse is still abuse. Definitely guilty.
It was a lot better than the now popular “public shaming” that seems to have a hold on some black communities. Shaming is wrong.
