George R.R. Martin revealed he has a lot of incoming flexibility when writing The Winds of Winter and further books in the A Song of Ice and Fire book series that lays the foundation for Game of Thrones on HBO. Logically, there needs to be at least one living character to be the POV narrator for certain parts of the far-spread story. But what if that requirement were removed? Is there no end to George R.R. I’m thinking telling Martin he can’t kill a particular character is a good way to stimulate his imagination for a particularly messy and/or gut-wrenching and/or pathetic ending to that character.

Tyrion is definitely going to die.
Tyrion is Martins favorite character, he could of killed him off dozens of times by now, and has come close but always manages to escape alive, although also losing a bit of his dignity along the way.
Not to mention body parts.
