Is Google Autocomplete Defamation?

Should Google be held responsible for auto-complete suggestions? This question is being reviewed by a number of courts who aim to find out if linking these search suggestions to the person searching can be considered defamation. Google’s defense was that it’s not their fault since they don’t actually publish the suggestions. However, the courts have been ruling the opposite way holding Google responsible for the auto-complete feature.
