On this Nerd Rage– Love Child, the story documenting two Korean parents whose baby starved to death. Their lawyer says the couple was deeply addicted to an online game, Prius, which was accepted in court by a judge. To be perfectly fair, the documentary doesn’t really seem to argue more for one side of the argument or the other, and the documentary itself is not the point of contention in this video. The real issue is the notion that gaming addiction killed this child. What about the other factors in play with the parents? Is it fair to blame Korea’s internet infrastructure for creating its gaming culture? Kim Horcher speaks her mind on the story of Love Child, which can be viewed now (no expiration date) on HBO Go.
