“Convenient technical glitch or deliberate evasion? On Monday, when MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell attempted to ask former Israeli Ambassador to the United States Michael Oren about accusations that Israel had eavesdropped on Secretary of State John Kerry during last year’s peace negotiations, the audio feed connecting the two apparently went bad.

Speaking from Tel Aviv, Oren was defending the Israeli government’s military operation in Gaza when Mitchell asked him one last question.
