The TYT Network is looking for a dynamic, self-motivated, news junkie to join our digital news
team. This Associate Producer will produce segments for both a news and analysis show in the
network’s live linear programming block and online content for targeted platforms.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with the show host to pitch and develop news stories
Double-check for factual, informational and spelling errors
Researching stories with a specific eye towards contextual points
Collect quotes from story subjects
Working with editors to cut video and provide elements to support production of show
segments
Write scripts and TelePrompTer copy for short-form content
Building graphics and liaising with the graphics department
Research and prepare guests bios, lower thirds
Coordinates information sharing and communication with studio crew and post-
production staff
Researching stories as directed
Manage host’s social media profile to promote content
Coordinate coverage of special news events (election coverage, special news
conferences, etc.) as assigned
Guest booking and coordinating logistics
Fill-in for producers and associate producers as needed
Monitor and report on content performance, and participating in analysis and
recommendations to improve performance
QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should have experience working and multitasking in a high-pressure
television news environment
Capability to handle short deadlines and work in a face-paced and demanding live news
environment
Impeccable news judgement, especially around politics.
Demonstrable ability to select and track trending news stories.
Proven track record with digital media and execution
Experience with engaging digital content in news or lifestyle media
Expertise in programming, engagement and distribution strategies
Successful experience building and managing an editorial team to create both long- and
short-lead content in a variety of formats across multiple platforms
Understanding of engagement best practices across various broadcast and digital
platforms.
