I think not enough attention is paid to the leaked white house aide quote, “He’s served his purpose.”
The Mooch was always The Mooch, but who we saw over those few days was The Mooch x 20. The testimony given during those few days got such little attention and such little investigation as a result. Attention diverted, purpose served, Mooch gone.
Whenever everyone looks the same way to start laughing, “I can’t believe this useless distraction is happening,” it’s time to start wondering if maybe the distraction isn’t so useless. Granted, Trump IS stupid enough to make this kind of thing happen for no reason, so we all have a license to laugh. It’s worth remembering that he’s also a veteran of mass-entertainment who knows what gets attention, and occasionally he would use that to point everyone away from something.
