A high school student in Michigan had his lunch taken away by a school official and thrown in the trash, in front of many of his classmates, because he had an outstanding balance of $4.95 on his lunch account.
The students mom paid off the outstanding lunch balance of every student at the school, which covered 19 students and totaled about $200.
