Nick Turse is the renowned writer and investigative journalist who’s written for the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, and the BBC; he is currently a fellow of The Nation Institute as well as the managing editor of the blog TomDispatch.com.
Turse is also the writer of Kill Anything That Moves, a chronicle on of Vietnamese civilian suffering at the hands of U.S. troops during the Vietnam War. He wrote the book using public record as well as interviews with real veterans, uncovering unbelievable findings about the U.S. Government’s role against its own solders. Human death was incentivized, according to these troops, turning morality on its head. Why were innocent women, children, and Vietnamese civilians the troops were supposedly protecting killed in cold blood? Why were human beings robbed of their humanity, and how does it continue to on in modern-day warfare?
