Since the release of the documentary Blackfish, SeaWorld has come under scrutiny for its treatment of the animals that perform in the park’s marine themed shows, the killer whales in particular. Lately petitions have been circulated to discourage musical acts from performing at SeaWorld, with some success. What does the controversy say about our relationship with animals?
