Baptist churches in Paducah, Kentucky, the site of a high school shooting back in 1997, are hosting “Second Amendment Celebrations” and giving away guns and steaks to attract more people to their congregations.

Kentucky isn’t the only state where churches are using guns to attract new members. According to the LA times a church in Troy, New York is giving away an Assault Rifle this weekend.

When the 2nd Amendment was written, the British Man-o-War was the weapon of mass destruction of it’s day.
Capable of leveling entire coastal communities they were devastating in their firepower, at a time when virtually all communities were, by necessity, on navigable waterways.
Cannon, mortar, saber and pistol, along with the musket, were all available.
States even hired privateers, privately owned ships of citizens, laden with cannon and powder, to protect their coastlines.
Do you see ANY restriction written into the 2nd Amendment, on any of these weapon platforms?
Do you see ANY reference to hunting and fishing in the 2nd Amendment?
So, exactly what is it that makes you think there should be any restriction?
The 2nd Amendment restricts NOTHING, no weapons platform whatsoever, for good reason.
ANYTHING a government can aim at you, YOU should be able to aim back.
That was their intent, that was their aim, to deny tyranny a chance to spring-up anew, by insuring the populace has the firepower to destroy the undemocratic takeover of power.
The Founding Fathers didn’t give a shit about hunting and fishing, they were fighting for their lives against the tyranny of a government gone mad.
How can you dim bulbs sit there, day after day, wringing your hands and fretting over the fucked-up shit the NSA and CIA are doing, and at the same time advocate for the disarming of the American public?
Do you NOT see the dichotomy and irony of your words and actions?
Do you really think the NSA will EVER willfully give up their invasive reach and control over the populace?
Feel free to trust this government and it’s agencies of torturers with your lives and freedoms, but don’t you dare try to make me.
I applaud your efforts with WolfPAC, but what has it accomplished?
Did any of the Wall St. thieves go to jail?
Has Congress made Citizens United moot by Constitutional Amendment?
Remind me again, how many hours of the House’s time have been wasted on FIFTY-TWO votes (and counting) to repeal the ACA?
