Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo has enacted a draconian set of rules restricting drinking on campus. No parties with alcohol can be open to the public, party hosts must submit lists of attendees, hard liquor and kegs are banned and the parties must conclude by 1:00 am.
So what’s driving the decision to all but ban drinking at Cal Poly-SLO? Will students likely comply or will they just work around these new rules? Are school administrators just afraid of lawsuits, and seeking to inoculate themselves against costly legal action?
Our panel discusses all these questions and more in this segment of The Point with Ana Kasparian.
