Is It Ever Okay To Kill Animals For Sport?

Texas man Corey Knowlton recently paid $350,000 for the privilege of killing an endangered black rhino in Namibia. When his name became public, he received so many threats of violence that he had to hire private security. He defends himself by saying that killing this one rhino will help preserve others. Is he right? Is that a legitimate argument? When is it acceptable to kill an animal for sport? Why do Americans deplore the killing of dolphins in Japan while turning a blind eye to the much more widespread and equally abhorrent killing that goes on every day in our factory farms?

Our panel discusses these and other difficult questions surrounding our complicated and sometimes hypocritical relationship with animals on this segment of The Point with Ana Kasparian.
