Cenk and John hosting.  Celebrations of MLK Day around the country.  His views on race relations are always highlighted, but no one tends to talk about his views on economic or social situations in America.  John sifts through these.  Some staggering stats on the level of income inequality in the world.  The richest 85 people have more wealth than the other 3.5 billion.  Talk about the tax schemes that are utilized by the richest to hoard money.  Some legislators are proposing a caveat to the anti voting laws that are being pushed by Republicans of certain states.  The additional rules are that there has to be several instances of voter fraud in the state before they can enact these sweeping laws to disenfranchise minority and young voters.  

President Obama spoke to The New Yorker and admitted that he doesn’t think marijuana is as dangerous as alcohol.  He also spoke about how he disagrees with long prison sentences for people in possession.  Video of Nancy Grace continuing her stupid rants against the legalization of marijuana.  She claimed that people kill each other and take out their entire family over pot.  The Chris Christie scandal is growing now that the mayor of Hoboken, Dawn Zimmer, is accusing the Lt Governor of holding Sandy funds until she gave a private developer a contract.  Video of Chuck Todd pointing out that GOP donors are worried about Christie now and think his 2016 hopes are done.  The Lt Governor vehemently denied the charges.  Al Assad’s government has been doing more torture than originally revealed.  There have been about 11,000 victims.
