As a UK citizen, I would like to say the most obvious thing to do, FIRST, if there is cause for alarm of an intruder is simple. Especially if you have young people in the house, is to go to the bedrooms first, or shout the name of the children. What kind of level of fear is someone living in if they can grab and gun, aim and fire. The laws need to be changed there. This man also should serve time for manslaughter, because what if this was actually a real crime of murder, and he is using the right to shoot first as a excuse. Step-father’s abuse is very common towards teenage girls.
one has to start wondering, but this point in the national news cycles day after day, exactly how many of these ‘burglar’ shootings are legitimate, and how many are staged to get away with murder.
