An deer injured by a car made its way into a hospital ER in New York. The deer had two broken legs yet managed to walk through the automatic doors of the hospital. But it unfortunately did not receive any medical care, but rather was put down by a sheriff’s deputy. Cenk Uygur, Brett Erlich (Pop Trigger), and Hannah Cranston (Think Tank) hosts of The Young Turks discuss.

Do you think the hospital should have treated the animal? Do you support the officer putting it down? Let us know in the comments below.

“A deer apparently hit by a car brought itself to a New York hospital and walked into the emergency room.

Hospital officials say the deer walked through the automatic doors at the entrance to Strong Memorial hospital’s emergency room late on Monday afternoon in Rochester. Officials say the deer made it about 20ft down a corridor before staff members corralled it.

The deer was struck by a vehicle before it entered the hospital, said Lori Barrette, a hospital spokesperson. It arrived with at least one broken leg.

“This was a first-time incident,” Barrette wrote in an email to the Guardian.”

  1. As a resident of Rochester this doesn’t surprise me. University of Rochester is not and has never been a philanthropic institution.
