A cafe owner in the Israeli town of Netanya is offering a 50% discount to Jews and Arabs who decide to eat together. He believes that hummus is a cross cultural dish that both communities enjoy, and want to use it as a symbol of commonality and peace. Some Palestinians, however, believe that it will take a lot more than hummus to reconcile what they see as Israeli aggression and occupation.
