Ted Cruz’s extremely long speech in the U.S. Senate is compared to Wendy Davis’ real filibuster in the Texas state legislature earlier this year. Many conservatives spoke out against Senator Cruz’s antics, including Senator John McCain. Senator Lindsey Graham ties Hillary Clinton to the Affordable Care Act in his speculation that she has presidential aspirations for 2016 and is relying on its success in the perception of the electorate.

Secretary of State John Kerry signed the United Nations’ Arms Trade Treaty which will now go before the U.S. Senate for approval. The NRA is opposed to the measure.
