How To Do Men’s Summer Shorts – with Timorris Lane and Bec Susan Gill
Styleogue NYC host Bec Susan Gill sits down with singer/songwriter (and New York fashion insider) Timorris Lane to discuss the trend of men’s summer shorts.
It can be hard to get shorts right – it’s not easy to get the balance right. But lucky for us, Tim knows all the secrets.
– Don’t know how they should fit? Treat them exactly as you would a good pair of pants, slacks or chinos. A little bit of room to breathe, but other than that – a smart, slim fit.
– How long should they be? Just above the knee. Don’t go too high – otherwise you will creep people out – or look like you are going jogging/swimming.
– Don’t know what shoes to wear with them? The simple answer is, Converse. Cons can be dressed up or down – and the more colourful/ornate the pair is – the better! Also, this season it’s cool to wear high tops with your shorts.
– Is it okay to wear Cargo shorts? The simple answer is, no. They may come back again this season – but for now, let’s keep them as a memory of your school days.
Timorris then teaches Bec some lines from his new single, which prove successful – not really.
