“When the “Jem and the Holograms” trailer hit the Internet last week (May 12), some fans of the ’80s cult cartoon were more than a little vocal on social media regarding their feelings about the remake.
Some complained about the lack of rock music in the trailer, others bemoaned the seeming lack of Synergy and, well, actual holograms.
But when MTV News caught up with Stefanie Scott, who plays Kimber Benton in the truly outrageous remake, at the press junket for her new movie “Insidious: Chapter 3” on Sunday, she said that the viral backlash to the trailer was completely unfounded.”
