Mad Men season 7, episode 8, “Severance” is debuted. The end of Mad Men draws closer, as we come back to Don Draper at the end of the 1960s, less than a year since the pervious half-season break. He finds out someone important has died, and picks up a woman true to his type, while he, Roger, and the others adjust to changing tides of the era. Is Ken making the right choices for himself? Don is also remarkable as being the most consistent character in terms of looks and behavior– what does this mean in the context of the narrative and in relation to the other characters? What’s going on with Peggy and Joan?
Ben Mankiewicz (Turner Classic Movies), Alonso Duralde (TheWrap, Linoleum Knife), and Robert Abele (Los Angeles Times Movie Reviews) discuss.
