Remember when Moana, the next Disney Princess was announced? Her movie will be out in 2016, set in the South Pacific world of Oceana, and she will be the first Polynesian Disney Princess. We’re still getting comments on the Nerd Alert video about this, months later, with many people resoundingly asking for princesses of different ethnicities- “Where’s the Latina princess?” “I want a Jamaican princess,” “There should be a mixed ethnicity princess,” and more.
