American binge drinkers are dying at a rate of 6 alcohol poisoning deaths per day. People aged 35 to 64 were responsible for three quarters of the 2,200 alcohol poisoning deaths each year.

More than 38 million people report having an average of 8 drinks during one night of binge drinking. Most of the 1.5 million yearly binge drinking episodes are by people over the age of 26.
