  2. I would have been excited to watch this is Jimmy Dore was with you, fortunately he did his own coverage and I could avoid your red scare BS commentary.

    1. As usual, folks with that opinion don’t understand what the red scare was.

      The “demonizing Russia” part of the Red Scare was fairly accurate, Stalin was indeed had a master plan to infiltrate democratic socialist/liberal movements, take them over, and take over the country. Other times, he invaded places like Czechoslovakia with force. Millions died inside his country for opposing his will, and he murdered jews and other ethnic minorities. If you think all that was just a scare, you don’t know history.

      The problem with the red scare were that it targeted innocent Americans, forced them to denounce each other, held massive hearings to drive liberals/socialists out of the entertainment industry etc. etc. None of that is happening, unless you’re deeply concerned that innocent people like Papadapolous and Flynn are being unfairly targeted. I’m sorry, but the use of Red Scare typifies the ignorance of abyssmal journalists like Caitlin Johnstone that fuel this nonsense.

  4. So you know how people insult shows like Extreme Home Makeover for giving people entertainment for the suffering of others, which we only justify because the suffering get a pay off in the end… has the state of the union kind of not reached that point?

    Clap for these people that did this thing but don’t actually pay attention or care about the details only that stuff is hard and they rose above in a moment. We won’t make it better but we will clap

  5. Sorry I keep randomly commenting as I am watching. I hate “the age of terrorism” terrorism has existed for thousands of years. Learn history, even basic history, the attacks on people for political/religious ideologies is basically as old as political and religious beliefs. Stop acting like this is a unique time the only thing that is unique is the weapons we use and how we spread the word that it is happening

  6. A family of four making 75k will see their taxes will be cut in half. Meanwhile, my husband and I well under the poverty level saw our return cut in half… so…

    Also since my husband works for the VA his yearly raise is cut by more than 1/2

    2. I feel the need to say I don’t think the family making 75k didn’t deserve a lower tax just saying that there is still a major issue while rich people get all the breaks and people are still getting screwed

  8. Looks like Jimmy is doing a SOTU recap on Agressive Progressives with Steph. I would have loved to see him on this but it is what it is.
