Cenk & John. Poll shows people trust CNN more than Trump. Steve Bannon pushes for tax hike for wealthy, Grover Norquist blasts him. Senate vote to back Saudi arms deal. Bill Bennett: ‘Who Do You Want Defending You? CNN or Marines?.’ NK tests new missile. Trump’s panel to investigate voter fraud off to rough start. GOP ad to Democrats- where is your plan? Chris Christie closes down beach, but parties there with family.

I’m conflicted, I don’t know if John looks like a young man or an old man, weird beard, very weird beard o.O not used to him with it
Of course Christie isn’t afraid of us voting plebs. If he gets tossed out of office, there’s some cushy lobbying job already waiting for him.
As America still argues about basic healthcare rights, the NHS in the UK celebrates it’s 69th Birthday
I would implore you to reevaluate her policies so that you can see your mistaken.
If I was Gov Christie and disliked as much as him, I wouldn’t want to go to a beach the public has access to either. Won’t be long before he’s not welcome on any beach. This must be incredibly humiliating for his children. They aren’t stupid. They know who he is.
Where is the Dems ad exposing the Republican’s health care “plan”? Need to be more agressive about the truth of this situation. What are the details of the Democrats fix for ACA? Dems should make popular elements of ACA and their proposals to make it better very visible.
Corporate Democrats… Weak.
HUGE problem with Obamacare: it was a Republican plan. It was invented by the Heritage Foundation and vetted by Mitt Romney. It has a big problem: it’s way too Republican. It needs to be replaced by publicly funded healthcare, where all essential healthcare is paid by the government out of a progressive tax. That’s the minimum solution to the problem with this Republican healthcare system. Sure, it needs replaced. It needs replaced by some form of single-payer. The way to get that is to elect progressive Democrats to office.
Don’t forget (and he doesn’t, but I’m pointing it out for good measure) that CNN is ‘the most busted name in news’, Cenk.

Tyt it has begun, they are moving forward with Christopher Wray for FBI director’s Judiciary committee confirmation hearing despite his ties to Russia’s Rosneft and Gazprom. The Rosneft which just sold 19% of its company and where 2.2 billion euros in investments are unaccounted for (about $2.6 billion) Bought by QHG caymans Ltd a company out of the Caymans which doesn’t state its beneficial owner. Something which would have to be requested by the SEC. So Trump/Kushner/ U.S. Immigration Fund money could have been used to purchase shares in Rosneft Oil or could have been utilized to make a deal on behalf of the 88 Queensway group in China which have ties to Lev Leviev. Kushner recently sold Visas in china to investors in Trump/Kushner real estate, none of that money ties back to 88 Queensway group associates? Before Christopher Wray gets rammed through, please mention his lawfirms ties to Rosneft and Gazprom and how Rosneft/ Gazprom could be colluding with a 3rd party investor with war implications over oil/gas resources in North Korea and in Syria and Qatar. Blackwater and Erik Prince seem to want some money too.
http://www.nofrackingway.us/2017/02/04/from-russia-with-rex/ The most pressing issue in regards to America’s Freedom and Values tied to Russia and China’s ability to profit during wars in Syria and Qatar, and deals with North Korea. Has the president taken US hostage?
I mean, we are even launching missiles into the japan sea so that Russian Submarines can pick them up and give them to North Korea…..
> I mean, we are even launching missiles into the japan sea so that Russian Submarines can pick them up and give them to North Korea…..
As per usual, what the serious fuck are you talking about? Do you even have the tiniest shred of evidence to back up this conspiratorial nonsense?
Just my fun and “not so fun” educated guesses as to the occurances of real world events. My name is Adam Stern DrAbs and I’m am being replaced by a “Russian” named Joe from self-hacked. Needless to say they are trying to steal my coconuts from Duterte :P. Life can be fun too cheer up Robert.
I request asylum and safe passage? Does that have to apply if i’m already an American Citizen? To request to not be killed by my own government? Breaker Breaker one nine we’ve halted the progression of the devil? Free speech is fun I wish it were real.
Those are not jokes. There’s not even a hint of humor in their phrasing. Nobody will read that stuff and think “oh, how hilarious, how whimsical”. Some of them will think: “why is this apparently serious geopolitical conspiracy stuff filling up the board?” and yet others will think “oh god, we only have another two months to live, tops”. That’s not funny, man.
You’re right, they are not jokes. It’s a serious matter to believe I am being targeted by intelligence agencies simply because I follow the news and can see there is clearly more going on than what is being said. If you don’t think trump has been colluding(secret and/or criminal collaboration), You clearly havn’t been paying attention to the 500 bil deal rosneft has with exxon, that rex tillerson from exxon is our secretary of state, that the beneficial owner/s of 2.6 billion dollars worth of rosneft are “anonymous” at a time when Russia is moving through Ukraine and Syria and it’s only natural to believe Russia would also want its hands on Qatar’s shared natural gas reserves with Iran. Are we not supposed to ever talk about these things in a potentially greater context? That the President is only capable of doing deals that are in the best interest of the American people? That Kushner sold visa’s to people in china for investments in his own business should be evidence enough to you these people are willing to self-deal. The policies they’ve put forward so far show to me they don’t care about the American peoples liberties. Defunding cfpb, putting industry in charge of their own regulations, gutting the epa. That they are seemingly trying to put Christopher Wray in as FBI director because the Lawfirm he’s a part of has ties to Rosneft and Gazprom. If the only way to appease Russia is to let them have Qatar I don’t know my stance, clearly though in your mind Robert I’m not even allowed to form an opinion on what seems to be the most important issue in my lifetime. Are your sensibilities so rattled by my words? Perhaps you should only speak for yourself. I certainly have no evidence of criminal collaboration, certainly to me there seem to have been secret interactions. Like people omitting information in their testimonies and forms. All I can say is I wouldn’t mind knowing more about shell corporation transparency laws and who is the beneficial owner of QHG Caymans limited. Before someone thinks an “ultimate distraction” is even a real option. You agree that putting Wray in after only a senate judiciary comitee vote would be a travesty? That passing his confirmation is a mockery of our intelligence? But if the powers that be say I’m not allowed to weigh in on such things I guess i’ll just chalk that up in the loss of perceived liberty column after calling my senators and saying “Block Cristopher Wray because of Rosneft, Who just bought 2.6 billion worth of Rosneft through QHG Caymans ltd?”. Unless of course they actually Block Wray in committee. Then I’d be extremely relieved and my “paranoia” would subside
if i was in that helicopter i would have come in low, blown sea water over them, then entered the sandy area and blown sand on top of the sea water just to pummel them with sticky sand to mess up their day.
You’re more Cenkoistic than Jingoistic, Cenk. ;)
These arms deals do not have to make sense, they have to make dollars.
Who is running against Joe Donnelly in the primary? You talk about Manchin all the time, but Donnelly is usually right by his side. He just doesn’t do as many interviews about it. There are more liberals in IN than you would think. Especially if that liberal truly supported the working man like Sanders. IN Democrats have that wrong headed idea that only a Republican lite can win here. That isn’t true. Someone who looks out for worker’s interests can win here. IN is hurting. People think we are all like Pence. That isn’t true. He hopped on the Trump train because the peopld here hated him and his numbers were in the toilet. Of course the IN Democratic part was running Republican lite against him so it could have been a toss up in the end.
John. Maaaaaaate. Stop using ‘theoretically’ in every other sentence! Other than that, big love, keep it up and get us a TYT UK yeah?!
With respect to the arms deal with Saudi Arabia, unfortunately there is a cost of doing business with some countries and Saudi Arabia is one of them.
Saudi Arabia has already lost 500 men fighting AQ in Yemen in the last two years including two generals, they host 2 US air bases where drones fly from and they have the widest intelligence network there.
Before the Saudi invasion AQ in Yemen controlled Yemen’s 3rd largest port (Al-Mukalla port which is 150km away from Aden yet the Houthis made the wrong turn somewhere and attacked Aden instead of Al-Mukalla and Cenk told me the Houthis “fight” AQ in Yemen) and 3 provinces. Now they are scattered in the desert and some isolated towns and have not launched an attack of any kind since August of last year.
Oh by the way, half the civilian deaths in Yemen were killed by American drones.
Finally, Iran supported the shia insurgency in Iraq (which killed 1200-1500 US troops and between 35k and 50k Sunni civilians in the infamous death squads alone) and Syria was the main highway for the 5000 suicide bombers who blew themselves between 2003 and 2010.
Why not mention these facts as well?
And your point is …. ?
Funding terrorists (like Saudis) is a “necessary evil?
Perpetual War for Perpetual Peace.
There can NEVER be enough war! We are ALWAYS in danger!
Who cares if we can’t have clean water here, can’t have Green Energy like the rest of the world, or a Single-payer healthcare system. It is MORE important to fund wars around of the world.
More war is ALWAYS needed!
Warmongering a little early in the day, aren’t we?
No, my point is that Saudi Arabia as a government does not fund terrorism right now unless it came unwittingly. This used to be the case (provided you give an acceptable definition of terrorism) but not anymore. This by the way cannot be said about the US where the IRA used to hold bake sales and collect donations for the “Freedom Fighters” in the presence of Pete King, the guy from muslim radicalisation hearings fame, two blocks from where I lived back in the day in NYC.
Since 9/11 every single cent that goes through the Saudi Banking system goes first through US treasury filters. Every Saudi person’s passport is automatically registered with US authorities without those individuals knowing (I know business associates who knew this the hard way, at the airport after the strip search). The FBI and the CIA have dedicated stations in the US and Saudi Arabia to monitor financing through unofficial channels like cash hawals (which have been made illegal above a certain threshold) as well as monitor spending by the official charities including those that do not operate outside the country. And we have not even began to talk about rendition, intelligence sharing and actual fighting on the side of the US.
Saudi Arabia bent over backwards and stamped over the rights of its own citizens (which resulted in a terror campaign that killed hundreds of its citizens, in fact outside Iraq and Pakistan Saudi Arabia saw more terrorist attacks and casualties than any other country*) just the make the US happy and trust me and a lot of people in congress are happy including people who campaign to bomb Saudi Arabia.
This vote is not good precisely because it will lead to a perpetual war. Right now it is the Saudis and Emaratis who are dying in the fight. If the US stops selling weapons they will stop cooperating and all terrorists caught in the US since 9/11 were directly tied to AQ in the Arabian Peninsula and why should they?
This is not war mongering, this is reality. AQ/ISIS attacked Sweden and Sweden did not attack a single country since 1815 and hosts nearly 1 million refugees from the countries where there are conflicts and ISIS/AQ presence no questions asked.
AQ/ISIS are nihilists and we can’t wish them away.
* Al-Nusrah is a military group that attacks mostly military targets.
It is true that there is a “cost of doing business” with countries like Saudi Arabia. However, the entire reason that we do business with those kind of countries is flat out greed. While there are strategic military advantages to doing business Saudi Arabia, the main benefit is to arms manufacturers and oil companies. When deals with these countries are made, the main benefits go to private companies not the country in general even if you view it through a strategic point a view. It is convenient to have bases and airfields in places like Saudi Arabia, but the main point of deals like this is not strategic but profiteering.
I’m tired of politicians on both sides of the aisle telling us that we have to grin and bear these kind of agreements because it helps keep us safe. The real goal, as almost always, is more wealth for them and their donors. Fuck them and their disingenuous bullshit. They don’t give a shit about our safety and they throw around fear to justify these kind of deals to make us feel better about doing business with countries with interests that conflict with ours. Anytime you hear almost any politician saying they are supporting something to keep us safe, you know they are lying. As George Carlin said “they don’t give a fuck about you”
Is it wrong to think that the government army contractor blackwater has people stationed in America and that it deals out of Germany and Ukraine and United Arab Emirates and (does it in Syria i’m fraid to even check and wouldn’t trust any page pops up) and next in Qatar?. hackers on your pc spyin, helicopter outside with long range microwave radiation burst cannons extrajudicial assasinations and that flu shot in the 4th grade(or was it hpv6) robbing us of our bodily stores of nutrients. The world is in a deep chasm and we need a kickstarter not this Duterte bull.
Block Christopher Wray because of his ties to Gazprom and Rosneft which just sold nearly $2.6 billion worth of shares anonymously through the caymans QHG Caymans ltd. Did our president purchase those shares either for himself or for a third party such as the 88 queensway group which is said to have installed North Koreas government while Russia is said to have helped North Korea fix its missile guidance systems? To whom did Kushner sell Visa’s to in China for investments in Kushner/Trump real estate and from where did the eb-5 money come from? Did you order my extra-judicial assassination or know anyone capable of hovering over a house with a helicopter and blasting someone with a radiation burst the day after fourth of july? Perhaps you know someone capable of covfefe? Can you share with us your millions of dollars from the oil companies which are represented in this matter? I wonder if America has a case for you yet. Have you been given enough time to fudge all of your books yet and squash beneficial owner shell transparency laws yet? You sure Wray will cover your books too when it hits the fan and you are overwhelmingly found to be conspiring? The lagtime between the effects of collusion and your taking a stand now is enourmously propogated on the people of the world from this point forward.
Uh, ok? Not sure what you mean by Duterte bullshit…was this in response to a post I didn’t see?
Greed is definitely part of the reasons why the US invests in Saudi Arabia but to say there is no benefit to the average person is bit of an overstatement.
For the last 4 years Saudi Arabia has been drowning the oil markets with oil which at one point was the sole reason why Europe did not go back into recession. Saudi capital has been instrumental in financing the fracking boom and that is why gas is so cheap and guess who benefits. Oil company profits are at their lowest since the 1990s and some have registered actual losses. Europe did not slide back into recession because energy is so cheap.
Finally about politicians, you are right to a certain point. Their “support” is largely based on how big the paychecks are. However, to deny that there is danger and terrorism out there is absurd. The last time a US administration did that 9/11 happened and the problem of terrorism is not terrorism per se, it is the emotions that it unleashes. The Iraq war was sold to the American people as being part of the war on terror and guess what happened? The American people bought it hook, line and sinker with 70% of Americans supporting the war in January of 2004.
Americans woke up and did the right thing as Churchill said, unfortunately it was after 200k Iraqi civilians dead, 5 million refugees and displaced, 5000 GIs dead and 50k-100k GIs injured.
I’m not denying that there is a threat of terrorism at all (both foreign and domestic). I’m saying that that threat is convenient for many politicians to get what they want, which is money for them and their contributors. There things that we need to do to curb terrorism. That includes domestic policies as well as foreign. We have waged war for 16 years and how’s that working out for us? Taliban controlling more territory than they did at the start of the Afghan war. Hundreds of thousands of lives list
We send soldiers to get maimed or killed and when we are done with them we cast them aside like nothing. The fact there are homeless vets in this country is absolutely shameful. I’m saying if we stop fucking killing people, it would alleviate a lot (but definitely not all!) of the threat. We need to get the hell out of the hornets nest we kicked over in the middle east. I don’t know if our interventionist (or humanitarian intervention if you listen to the Clinton faction) has lowered gas prices…maybe it has. But I find it hard to believe that the oil companies are hurting, especially with the corporate welfare subsidies the US gives them.
The real goal of 9/11 was to send us into a panic. Understandably we did panic. However, we are 16 years out without an attack of the same proportion. How long does it take before that is no longer a reason to fuck over the American people with Federal spending choices, foreign policy, and justification for removing our rights as citizens?
Enough is enough. We do need to make decisions about how to safe guard against terrorism. We also need to stop using it as a way to push through policies that all in all don’t directly effect the average citizen. Lower gas prices are nice, but we need to follow a different path than what we are on. We are heading for collapse…
China, Russia, North Korea, Saudia Arabia all have marines, are they democratic?
What is it these countries are lacking? Might it be free press?
I love TYT but can we please get some intro music that doesn’t destroy your ear drums when you put your headphones in?
Agreed, or just turn down the volume a bit.
Second that~!
I dread that BLAST and am not always quick enough to save the peace of
my home.
My be lovéd sleeps in the same room…not fair. Thanks
Love you in any event.
~Upaya~
I’ve thought about this for some time now. The TYT intro music further disarms the right as “metal” or “hard rock” is regarded by the right as “masculine” which is what they criticize the left for lack of. It’s petty but that who the right is. Keep the intro music!
Isn’t Norquist somewhat right though, that if his rich friends don’t get their tax cuts, they’ll simply retaliate against their workers by cutting pensions and benefits? When he says that it’ll cost the american worker if these taxes go up, it’s not a lie. It’s a threat.
But, they cut benefits and gut pensions anyway!
They never stop their gluttonous craving for MORE tax-cuts,
even when they are sitting on an inexhaustible supply of cash .
It is NEVER enough!
I never hear anyone counter Norquist with that fact to his face.
I would love to see Cenk debate him.
Norquist has been making the same stupid arguments since the 80’s.
Look at his bio … he actually was part of an effort to bring American & South African conservatives together to END the Anti-Apartheid movement.
He’s a pig.
He is an arrogant fuck who is NEVER challenged by MSM, or any of the corporate “comedians” like Bill Maher.
I hate is stupid, moist gopher-face.
You really believe the discredited trickle-down nonsense?
Oops! Looks like you missed the point I was making!
John: ‘Hashbrown’ where’s the plan?
#hashbrown
Obviously Kobach needs more data to “improve” his Crosscheck system…
Trump 2020!!!!
We know Trump suck Cenk, last time u overdid it w the trump videos he won the election.
How about report what good things democrats are doing, like cheating and installing a pharma lobbyist as chair person and killing single payer bill!
No, Cenk, find out the HISTORY of our assholery with North Korea, and you will see what they are doing and WHY!!!
Modern presidential! Don’t move on it “like a bitch” or maybe use “self restraint” until we can what? manage to force a deal with China?
hour 2?
Amazing first hour. Great job guys. Always good to see a Jayar rated segment.
Johns and Cenks analysis regarding North Korea is terrible. Let us not deminish the role of US Empire/militarism in shaping the modern version of this state.
Propaganda? You better check yourself. From my seat, you are buying US ideology hook line and sinker.
My advise: treat what you say as if it will be on tyt classsics several years from now. I understand it is not realistic, but a good mental exercise nontheless.
So right. Too much of what they do is simply react to MSM crap and go along with far too much of it, staying INSIDE the ‘propaganda box’.
The recent anti-war conference had some WONDERFUL speakers; this is one of the international segments, and has an expert on North Korea (introduced about 42 minutes in). VERY informative and eye-opening for me. Seems like the US has done so much dishonorable stuff and flat out went back on previous promises, and so on. Same old stuff – like with our Natives and Russia and everyone the powerful figure they can bully and screw. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pDJykWIznM&index=3&list=PLatnOpu3eZimt5YieDM5MFzDPGe0ZQgzI&t=2554s
Don’t forget, if someone has your full name, birth date and last 4 of your social, they can get access to virtually anything, from medical records to utility accounts, and possibly bank records.
That voter registration data is a high value target; it will get hacked.
Wasn’t there a guy, a big guy very important guy, who was calling for the unmasking of journalism sources?
Something something say their name. Make a divisive meme? Put your name on it.
Thank you for posting this promptly. Made my night!
thank you! came to say the same!
Really appreciate~!

Speaking of trickle-down economics, NPR recently did an interview with a guy who blamed flat wages on low productivity growth. He claimed that productivity has been nearly flat for the past 10 years, therefore, wages couldn’t be raised. So, it turns out that lazy, unproductive American workers just don’t deserve a raise.
Tulsi Gabbard needs to be a part of Justice Democrats. There is your first female President, and she merits the honor.
Tulsi Gabbard wants to ban muslims, bomb Iran and continue the occupation of Afghanistan.
And we haven’t even began the fun part yet when it comes to domestic issues.
Hardly JD material.
Incorrect
what is with Trump and the word “move” ? it’s like Ivanka and “architecting”
