As America argues over clean energy, Denmark is generating 42% of all their electricity from wind power. On one day last year they operated on completely clean energy. John Iadarola, host of ThinkTank, delivers his Final Judgment on the wind.

Wind can be part of an overall strategy as we move away from coal. However, in today’s market wind is much more expensive than coal and far less reliable. I understand there are other costs associated with coal such as pollution and the storing of coal ash but I am referring to what you will see on your monthly electric bill. In the end the higher cost may be the right way to go but for now it would put a nice dent in everyone’s wallet. I suspect they pay much more for electricity in Denmark than the average US ratepayer.
